"It is very important that Serbia retain a social dimension in education and ensure equal opportunities for all, irrespective of affluence and background. The state must maintain and improve free primary and secondary education, provide free textbooks and encourage the pursuit of higher education levels. It is only through this approach that we can increase the share of educated citizens in the overall population and develop into an economically prosperous, socially stable and democratically developed society, ready for and capable of integration into Europe."
